Help with Aetna
Does anyone know about Aetna,
I was told today by Aetna that there are no docs within a 100 mile radius (that was found by accident by rep), what I want to know if anyone has been through something similar, and will they approve the surgery. I ain't worried about if I qualify I've been morbidly obese for years, and have hypertension and I've been with my doc for years so I know he would write me a letter. Anyways it's just weird to know that they have no in network docs. Do they suck that much no one accepts them.
i am sorry to hear about that.. Please keep checking on it from time to time. Dont lose hope. It's weird that Aetna has wls in over abundance in this area and none in your area... Keep calling and checking. maybe they will see a need in the area. It may also be because there arent any Centers of Excellence in the area to have the surgery.. I wish you luck and will be praying for you.
hey Ricco thanks,
i may have a different plan, Aetna seems to have pos, hmo ppo, etc. I do know I'm HMO don't ask me what the two asterisk mean. Anyways i was looking for in network docs and that was when the told me nothing in 100 miles. So hopefully they may be a blessing in disguise, because I may have my choice of docs and still get in network coverage-----------right ummmmmm hummmmmmmm I'm trying not to travel more than an hour for my doc too because I'm thinking of aftercare and support groups which mean just as much to me as finding a good doc. This is my last chance at freedom and I'm gonna do it right.
