Cigna
Who here has Cigna, Who here is having a hard time with Cigna... I have yet to even start the process with them and am in fear.
Cigna has been great with me, I've had them since I was about 3 years old. My father worked for the state as does my husband now and both have always paid a few extra dollars to upgrade to them....
While in a seminar for WLS on Wed they said that Cigna is the second worst ins group for WLS.... Im in such fear over being told no... I need this... I am getting sick just over the idea that I wont be around to see my kids grow up... Any advice on how to handle them? I've talked to them twice to get the what I have to do and both people gave me different info, tho I believe the second girl and understand the error (it was about 10,000 for the dr fees).. I'm so stressed out over this...

Hi,
I have Cigna, and I was told if you go to a Dr. that is in network they will pay. Make sure your surgeon is in network with Cigna, I was going through a another program and they were going to charge me for the second surgeon and more for the program.( I would have been paying Thousands of Dollars out of pocket.) because the other surgeon was out of network.
I have changed programs and will only have to pay my co-pay.
Good Luck
Wendy

Hello....today is 9/15/09....date of my first denial and hopefully last denial. My doctor is scheduling a "peer to peer" review, and I have all ready filed a complaint with Georgia's Insurance Commissioner (I live in Georgia). I called to speak with the case manager at Cigna, but was told, that he can only talk to the doctor? I am not going to give up, although I am very disappointed.
