What do I do now?

I read on the website of the company where I work that WLS would be covered. But when I talked to HR they said that they had excluded that from our policy.

Am I totally out of luck? Is self pay my only way out now?

You gotta go with the insurer. They pay the bill, not HR.

You should have or can get a copy of your insurance documents.

There is a section for exclusions. It will talk about plastic surgery, circumcision and all the other things they don't want to cover. If WLS is in there than it'sexcluded.

When I had WLS, hubby's policy didn't cover it. A few years later, they changed their policy and began to cover it. His WLS was paid for!
