Stupid Question about Finding a Nutritionist

I am embarassed to admit it, but I have no idea how/where to find a nutritionist in the rural area where I live.  I am currently seeing my PCP for supervision of my diet and trying to find a fitness club close to me.  BUT, I am lost when it comes to finding someone that would qualify as supervising and educating about nutrition.  Wouold my PCP's diet advice qualify or does this have to be a completely different person.  I have Highmark BCBS insurance (if that helps anyone).

Check with your local hospital, they should be able to direct you.

I just pulled up an online yellow pages and searched for a registered dietician (RD) within a 30 mile radius (or however far it takes to pull one up).

Just a suggestion if the local hospital can't help you.  Hopefully they can, they should have one on staff!
