"don't call for two weeks to hassle the Ins Co."
at least that's what the insurance coordinator at the doctor's office told me on friday... which clearly is just the party line....
I'm chomping at the bit... with our insurance we WILL be approved. that's not my concern.
I just would LOVE to have this final hurdle over and done...
anyone with FEP-BC/BS have any input into how long it will take...

oh I know i can call but when i called last week they told me
you are approved for 8/18 and 8/25 and that's not true. we had just been submitted that morning.
I am not worried at all about being approved. it is Federal BC/BS we meet the criteria. (we are over 40 BMI)
I was just wondering how long it took for FEP BC/BS which is different from pretty much any other BC/BS plan around...

Are you kidding? UHC probably has my picture posted at every representatives desk, with a sign that says "Do not answer if this person calls!" -- that's how well they know me! I not only call them every day if I have a pending claim or pre-certification, but I call MULTIPLE times a day. I have their toll-free number committed to memory at this point.
You have the right to call however many times you like, and it won't affect your approval not one bit it you meet the requirements. Good luck with everything!
