Your posts have been so helpful.

Do you know if your PCP has to see you for the visits every month for 3 months (to go over other visits and progress) or can their Nurse practitioner do it?

I am having trouble with getting appt with my PCP - though she suggested the WLS (she is getting married).

Thanks for any clarification.  I am Aetna.

I have Aetna and had absolutely no problems.  Submitted my paperwork and three days later received my approval.

They are very strict about following the requirements to the tee, so make sure you have everything in order or you will be denied.  For example, someone from Aetna told me it is not a '3-month' or '6-month' time period, it is really 90 or 180 days......

I did the 3 month multidisciplinary program.  My PCP documented very well and wrote letters to go along with her documentation.

Good luck to you!!

Is Aetna even investigating the potential for adding VSG?

Has anyone ever appealed at gotten approval for VSG from Aetna?

Thanls.
