Friend of a friend of a friend needs HELP w/ VSG, please

This is going to be odd, but here goes.

I've had my RNY in 11/08, and I LOVE my doctor's office staff. I got a call today from someone there who knows I'm on OH a lot, and asked if I might be able to help one of their clients. I do not know this man, but we've spoken briefly on the phone. 

"Mark" (the patient) is getting the run-around from BC/BS in trying to get approval for the VSG. BC/BS says the procedure is "experimental" and won't cover it. From what I understand, VSG is the only procedure this man can have done, due to health reasons. 

If anyone can please be of assistance in helping to get an appeal for this man, I know he'd greatly appreciate it.  Please PM me if you are up to this challenge, please. 

I am doing this as a favor to my surgeon's office assistant. "Mark" is not computer literate. His knowledge of computers is limited to email only. He's tried to start an account on OH, but really sounds quite clueless.

Try posting this on the VSG forum, there might be some folks that can help you there.  I also recall some previous posts on that forum that might help.
