Hi everyone,
I am looking to have revision surgery. I had gastric bypass done in 2003, but I have gained back all the weight plus more. My consultation with the surgeon is in July. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that has had revision surgery who had United Healthcare insurance. If so, what type of revision surgery did you have, and how long did it take for the insurance to approve it?

Have you considered revising to a DS? I think there are a few people on the DS board who have been approved through UHC and they say they're one of the easier insurances to get approval. If your policy covers WLS and you meet criteria (BMI >40 w/o cormorbids and BMI >35 with comorbids) for WLS again then you should be able to get a revision. Try posting this question on the DS board I'm sure someone can help you there.
