Health Net?

Anyone have Health Net HMO?

I have been on the edge of my seat over the whole approval process. My medical group requires a 6 month course. Don't really mind that because I am learning so much. My doctor keeps saying not to worry I will be approved. And then at a support group I mentioned what carrier I had and the NUT waved her hand at me and said no probems...they are easy!

So why am I worried?

Anyone got experience.

Oh and I get denied.....they won't hear the end of me.... don't pay my $644.00 a month insurance for nothing.

If you are trying to get lapband or RNY then yes HN is very easy to approve as long as you meet their criteria. Which it sounds like your doctor and NUT believe you do. Don't worry about what hasn't happened yet. If you live in CA you have the DMHC on your side and they are very pro WLS. I have HN and just had my DS. They approved for the RNY quite easily (once I knew how to beat them at their game) and appealed to the DMHC to get my DS. I think once we've made up our minds that we want WLS we want it yesterday and worry about not getting approved. Worrying won't help your situation and will only add stress, so try not to do it. I have info on my page about the DMHC if you do ever need to appeal. Best of luck

Thanks so much for your reply. Yep, I meet the criteria but I always think of Murphys Law and the old adage "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is". I have tried to lose weight for so long I guess I feel this is my last chance, Thanks again and I will check out your page.
