question about gastric bypass and insurance company

what if my insurance company said that our policy has an exclusion for WLS?  can i fight that? and if not, then what? i dont have 30,000 lying around for self pay...can anyone help me? how did you go about financing if you self paid...and what were the payments...or if you have any advice or suggestions for me id greatly appreciate it...as i desperately want this surgery.
