Sorry Private insurance will not cover WLS nor any complications from it, Most of all they usually will not underwrite a patient that is obesity as we are a Liability ...   Dont know much about the Houston area.  Depends on your type of job you are looking for and your type of training

I hear how frustrated you are and can't say as I blame you. Keep in mind that finding job with great benefits doesn't mean they will cover WLS. I work for the County Goverment and overall we have great health coverage but no coverage for WLS.
I opted to have mine done and self paid, luckily I could take out an equity loan on my home.
I know that I am in the minority with what I think, but honestly, I do now know that every other employee should have to pay more for their coverage so we can have WLS as  a covered benefit.
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?
