Just Frustrated

Hi everyone! I'm normally just a lurker, but I'm so irritated. I've completed all of my appointments, classes and psych evals as of 3 weeks ago yesterday. My surgeons office supposedly submitted my paperwork to BCBS/IL last Friday. I've called there each day since Tuesday to make sure they have received it and they have not. I've called my surgeons office each day since Tuesday to ask them to re-fax it. They will not return my phone calls. I've come too far to deal with this BS! I've been super nice to the Insurance coordinator at the surgeons office in the past, but I think I'm going to have to get nasty. I hate to be like that but, come on---this is my life!

Sorry--I just needed to vent I guess.

Stacey you should not have to go through that. Stay on top of your coordinator because I am on top of mines. I may not be her favorite fan but, I just do not want anything to slip through the cracks. I have my last weigh in on July 1st and then everything gets submitted. I will be on my horn starting to call. GOOD LUCK and continue to be persistant.

I had a similar situation with my surgeon here in Chicago.  Love the surgeon, have no love lost for his office staff!  Be your own advocate!!

I'm dealing with the same issues.  After waiting 9 weeks for approval from insurance, it's been three weeks of waiting to get on the surgical schedule.  I'm calling tomorrow and hoping to talk to someone that can get things moving.  

My whole process has taken one year and I'm not even scheduled for surgery yet!

Breathe . . . . .  It'll be worth it in the end!
