I am also looking into getting a part time job that offers insurance to pay for my surgery.
I just don't know where to start.
How do I know if the insurance they offer covers bariatric surgery?

I would imagine that, if you don't already know going in (like Starbucks), then you would have to ask their HR department to see a copy of their policy. You don't have to ask about bariatric surgery specifically, but you can absolutely say that part of the reason you're seeking supplemental employment is for insurance, so you'd like to see their policy.

Not always, but sometimes you can view the summary of benefits on the employer's website.
