Approval from united health care (verbal) But no word from blue cross

I have EMPIRE NY.  In order to receive approval both United Health Care and Blue Cross have to submit approvals. (It is an umbrella program)  UHC submits their respoonse first.

UHC has approved me, they state the letter is in the mail.  However Blue Cross has no record of this? 


Does anyone have any experience in this area??

congratulations on the UHC approval.  I don't have any experience with situations like yours but do have UHC through my employer.  Would you please tell me if UHC (for you) is governed by Californina Commission of Insurance and if wls was an exclusion?  I am doing research for myself.

Thanks!  I have NY EMPIRE Insurance.  For some reason the medical portion of my insurance is covered by UHC but the Hospitalization is covered the Blue Cross.  My insurance does not exclude WLS.  Sorry that I could not help more.  Good Luck!
