Hi Vicki!
I need help...My hubby and I need Ins.We have never ever had it and have NO IDEA wha kind to get.I have been reading alot but I want to be sure once we do get it,it is right for us.He is self-employed,although his employee is on unemployment at the time.Could we still get a group plan,even though his employee is on unemployment? I know group plans will consider WLS..as I would like to have a RNY..I just need some guidnce..would like UHC or BCBS that covers WLS.

Kim most insurance that underwrite policies that are for small businesses, will not cover WLS.  I have not found one yet that has WLS on individual policies for small business owners.  I hate to say it but I dont thing you will find one.   WLS is usually only covered by larger employers and then thats not a guarntee that they will buy into the WLS rider as its extra and costly.   I wish I had better news for you sorry  

sorry to intrude, but I am just wondering if you are able and willing to work a full time job that offers benefits? if you are message me and I will share some info with you
