Post Date: 3/31/09 7:33 am Last Edit: 3/31/09 7:38 am 10/02- denied by surgeon, 256lbs/65in.- encouraged to try again on own  03 to 08- insurance exclusion  1/08- company bought out/new insurance plan-cigna, they cover  3/08-packet arrived from surgeons office  have to see physicians requested therapists  taking forever to get apts5/9/08- PT  5/28/08-BEHAVIORIST 5/30/08- NUT ...taking lonnnnngggggeeerrrr to get apt with Dr Eagon 7/22/08- Dr Eagon, surgeon  DENIAL- need more recent 6 month phys/diet history /mine was from 02  saw my pcp- sept, 08 oct, nov, dec, jan 09, feb, mar- wt fluctuated from 272 to 269 -- end 270.  (have a great form I got in this forum for physician documentation) (THANK YOU EVERYONE) documentation faxed to surgeon 3/24/09 surgeon faxed to insurance 3/27/09 surgeon office called 3/30/09- insurance authorization approved   Waiting to hear from surgeons office for a date!!!!!!!!!!!!! so for anyone discouraged, here is yet one more story of perseverance paying off I know it may seem like it's never going to happen, or maybe something is trying to tell you not to do this.... ITS NOT ..... it's just your silly insurance company throwing up more hoops for you to jump through, hoping you'll get tired and just quit....  take the last laugh and beat them at their own game, never give up on you
