Yes, you read that right.  The surgeon's office wants $24,000 UP FRONT!!!!  I spoke to the program director today and that's what she told me.  She also told me that they don't do any financing because it is "too confusing" or something along those lines.  My mind was still reeling from the $24,000 up front to remember exactly how she phrased it.  Does anyone out there know of any good financing companies and/or any surgeons in CT/MA/NY/RI who offer financing?  Thanks in advance for any/all advice.

$24,000 is pretty much the going rate for WLS in the United States (give or take depending where you live).  And yes, they always make you pay it before they do the surgery.  Most surgeons do not do financing.  You will have to find your own financing.

I'm sure some people around here will give you some companies for financing options, but you could just google "medical financing" and see what you come up with.
