My insurance excludes WLS (self-funded insurance).

Do insurances that exclude WLS usually pay for complications that arise from WLS?

In answer to your question, no most insurance will not cover anything that is directly related to the WLS.   Sorry :0(

Have you tried going to your employer or your HR dept to see if they would cover your surgery? If it's self-funded then they are paying for it and may make an exception.

Have you asked for a Independent medical review to see if they would cover the weight loss surgery or the complications there of?
never settle for less than you deserve and you deserve only the best.
