Self-Pay...what about complications?

I know many surgeons will include a 30-60 day complications clause where you will be covered, but what happens if something goes wrong many months down the road?  Will insurance companies cover those expenses?

For the record, my ins. company will cover some WLS but I don't qualify under their requirements.  So, I'm trying to see what would happen if I choose to self-pay.

From my understanding, generally speaking the answer is "NO"

Thanks. I figured that.  I really detest Ins. Companies!

If your policy has WLS coverage but you just don't meet the requirements, I do not think they would not pay for any complications.   Have you directly asked that question to your insurance company?

No, Vicki, I have not asked them yet.  I do plan to do soon.  I guess I'm scared to ask...afraid of what they may say.
