I am so anxious to get my RnY surgery scheduled.  All my labs and my psych eval are completed.  My surgeons office submitted 13 days ago.  We have heard nothing.
I am not sure why they are taking so long to answer.  I have a bmi of 39.5 (close enough, right?)  and have sleep apnea (one study showed sever OSA but the more recent one showed moderate...cuz I couldn't sleep except 15 minutes)...could that be a problem because it was not severe on the more recent test?
They found I have a gallstone and fatty liver...can this mess things up?
I just don't know why they didn't answer yes already...does that mean the answer is more likey to be no?
Anyone else have empire blue?  how long did it take to get your approvals?
Anxiously waiting,
Heather

most insurances have  a turnaround time within 30 days unless they are requesting additional information and that can be bottle necked if the information is not returned to them in a timely manner.  You have the right to call and check the status every day if you like .
