anyone been approved by BCBS MA?

I have been to the seminar and they said they would call to schedule an appointment if I was approved by insurance. Has anyone been approved with BCBS OF MA? Any hassles? I also have no health conditions other than pain in my legs, back pain when I try to sleep, and acid reflux. My bmi is 46

I used to live in MA and MA has a law that if your insurance doesn't cover the surgury, then this law forces the ins co to cover it no matter what.

When I lived in MA my wife and I were trying to have kids and had to get some help, not invetro and our insurance didn't cover it. So we went to the consultation and the Dr's office knew this law and signed us up. We only paid co-pays the whole time.

A friend of mine just got a lap band and his insurance covered it.

So I'd suggest to go on the consultation and find someone at the dr's office who knows this law and knows what paperwork to submit.
