Psych Evaluation question

I had my psych evaluation last week and I am alittle confused. I used the same doctor as my teenage son sees for his therapy. So, the doctor suggested that I wait for several months while my home life settles a bit. I guess my question is, will the psych eval need to be submitted to Triwest at the same time in order for approval or can I wait to submit the eval until after the approval?

 Hi duke72,

I also had my psych eval done prior to submitting the paper work to my insurance. My advice is to seek someone who is familiar with psych evals for wls. I had to pay myself for it but it was worth it. She knew what questions to ask, and what info is needed for the ins purpose. There is always something going, I will first seek another opinion before waiting for my home life to settle. She also was very helpful in giving options on hope to cope with the changes that lie ahead.  Ask your surgeon if they can recommend someone. or tru word of mouth. Hope this helps.  Good Luck to you in the new journey.

It depends on if Triwest requires it for approval. If they do you have to send it. But I think I would maybe see someone else who does not know other issues going on.
