I initially posted this a few months back, but thought I'd repost it for those seeking approval this year.

I know, gathering all the required info can seem overwhelming. I did Aetna's 3 month regimen and was approved upon first submission. If you'll PM me your email address, I'll be glad to give you a breakdown of what I did, as well as copies of the letters I drafted and my PCP signed. Good wishes for everyone - I know what a life changing decision this is!

Hi Rosie!  Thanks for re-posting this.  I'm sure glad I had your help when I was submitting my paperwork to Aetna.  My surgery is 17 days away!!
Thanks for helping people !

My surgeon's office just submitted all of my stuff to Aetna on Wed. Now I just have to wait and see if they approve me. How long did it take for you to get approval?

Mine was very quick too.  Submitted on Thursday afternoon and I found out the following Tuesday I was approved.

Mine was 4 days, if I remember correctly. My info was submitted at the beginning of the week and I called them on Thrusday, I think, and was told that I had approval. I got the actual letter in the following week.
