xp- Post-op insurance problems Part 4
I received 3 messages from the doctor's office today...last message said I was being sent to collections.
I have known about the insurance problem for a total of 2 weeks as of today and have been working on it almost daily. I have had the actual bill from the dr. a total of 1 day. And I am already being sent to collections...WTF?!?!?! You give me 2 weeks to get this insurance thing straightened out and now you're going to f-up my credit?!?!?!
I called and said screw this politeness garbage I have been giving them and gave them a piece of my mind. Then I tried to cancel my 6 month post-op appointment and the dr. got on the phone. He lectured me about how I am over 120 days past-due (again I learned of all of this 2 weeks ago and got the 1st bill yesterday). I let him have it too. Then he said he would tell the accountant he should wait before sending me to collections and that I should get over my anger. He then had the nerve to tell me that I "need" him and not seeing him just hurts me. Then, here's the kicker, when I come to my appointment I need to hug him....yes hug him...he asked for a hug 3 times!!! You're gonna f with my life and credit and you want a hug????!!!!????
Believe me, this is the short, non-profanity-laced description of my day.
As for UHC...my claim has allegedly been assigned to an adjuster who has been working with the medical claims department the past 2 days to determine coding and bundled coding. I was given the impression that this should be processed any day now. My human resource contact said that the company's vendor manager has been in contact with UHC about getting this resolved asap. They are not happy with UHC either.
I have to take a few deep breaths now and become zen with the rest of my day...what's left of it.
