6 month diet
I have BCBS of MN and was all ready to go for 7 visits to satisfy the 6 month diet, when I looked at the BCBS of MN policy webpage under upcoming policies.... Low and behold, as of 2/16/09 they are changing it to 6 consequetive visits! So that means as of Monday (my 6th visit) - I am done!
I am so glad I didn't listen to BCBS CS when they told me the policy was 6 months duration in the last 2 years, which didn't have to be consequtive and didn't have to be 6 visits - could have been beginning middle end. My WLS office told me to be on the safe side go 6 months in a row.
Anyway, if anyone else out there has BCBS of MN, check it out!

I can't speak for your specific policy, but most insurance companies will only cover plastics if "medically necessary." this usually means they'll cover it if the skin is causing irritation such as sores or rashes, and topical treatments haven't worked (prescription ointments, creams, etc.).
