Anyone approved for the Lap Band with Aetna insurance

I had the Lap Band 11 months ago that was not covered by my insurance, so I was self pay.  My fiance' is wanting the surgery and has Aetna insurance.   I am waiting for the insurance person at  my surgeon's office to call me back...I was just curious of anybody's experience on here with Aetna and the band. Thank you!

If his policy includes WLS, Aetna covers the band, RNY, and DS. The only thing he should have to do is get a copy of his policy and make sure WLS is not an exclusion. If it's not excluded, then the band is covered. All Aetna plans cover the same procedures.

I was approved by Aetna for the LB
