WLS in Europe?

I am trying to get through the Norwegian government funded medical system to have this surgery.

My doctor here is concerned because he wants me to have the surgery ASAP but the government wont pay for it immedatally. I would be put on a wating list that they would not even call me for 90 weeks, and it would take approx 2 years before I could have the surgery. The doctors here seem to not be the brightest or most motivated individuals I've met, so I know as with other things here in Norway, I need to take this into my own hands.

Just hoping someone might be able to help me or point me in a good direction. So, does anyone have any experience of having this surgery in Europe where the country 'supposedly' pays for healthcare?
