will medicaid cover out of state for ds surgery,if they only cover certain ones in the policy excep

 as far as i know it only covers vertical banding and the rny  but  i was wondering if they would cover the ds and in another state ?  i dont think they will  but i was wondering if anyone has had  any info on this and any outcomes?

I am not familiar with Medicaid but I'm sure there are some DSers on there that will be able to help you. I know that Medicare covers the DS, but Medicaid may be different since it is partially funded by each individual state and they might have different criteria. If  your state Medicaid will cover RNY and vertical banding why won't they cover the DS?

I'm trying to find out if medicaid covers follow-up care if the surgery was originally done in another state (non-medicaid).
