HELP in need of frinds family and support
So we found out today that my dads company may be goin under and shutting their doors after the first of the year. If they close that would mean that my insurance will go out the window. I don't know why I would ever thing that I would actually have something positive in my life happen. I've never abtained a goal in my life ever looks like this one is goin to be slippin through my hands also. I am really hurting about other things goin on in life but you can read about that in my blog I don't want to put it all up here. But I just need LOTS of prayers I am way down in the dumps and don't se the light at the end of the tunnel

Hi sorry everything seems to be going bad for yiou right now. Have you tried calling your surgeon to see if there is any way possible to push your date up? If you explain that you may be loosing your insurance they should do it for you. Otherwise you will have the choice of carrying your insurance through Cobra for a few months to make sure that you can get your surgery. Don't give up
My cash pay surgery was under 10K in New Iberia, LA, USA PM me if you have quesitons about Dr Borland

Hi...first, I am sending prayers your way...hang in there...things will work out the way they are suppos'd to....
Where are you in your approval process w/your insurance? Even if your dad's company shuts down, they will have to offer him COBRA coverage for a period of time (which will most likely exceed any requirement of your insurance company for a pre-supervised diet/exercise program)....the COBRA payments can seem high, but you would probably only have to pay 1-2 and that's A LOT cheaper than bariatric surgery....that way you would have coverage. COBRA coverage is a continuation plan and it is the EXACT same coverage he has right now.....so, that's an option.
Keep your chin up....think positive, because the more negative thoughts you have the more negative things will happen & it will seem like the sky is falling....don't give up!
Take care, Micheala.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers I am approved and have been since June. And I don't know that I could nor could my dad afford the COBRA I don't know. I am prayin that he don't loose his job cuz it would affect more then just me being my dad is the bread winner of the family but things are not lookin good (his company makes parts for FORD and we all know how well the Auto industry is doing :( ) Thanks for the prayers and I know that there will be a positive outcome no matter what!!

I am sorry that your family is having a tough time now. The economy is totally in the toilet. If you do lose your coverage and can't afford Cobra have you considered working at Starbucks? Their insurance covers WLS and they even offer it to part time employees. Do not give up on getting WLS, even if you can't get it now just know that there are options out there. Best of luck to you
