Not what I want to hear from Aetna!!! NOOOOO!

I have Aetna HMO and I just got approved... you have to look specifically at your plan to see if it's excluded or included...  if it is included you have to jump through HOOPS to get approved by Aetna including a 6 month supervised plan so start going to your dr. now and have her document in your charts your nutritional and exercise plan... it would also help if you go see a nutrionalist....   if you have an questions feel free to pm me.

The VP of benefits got back to me and stated that the plan that my employer picked excluded WLS, but I am still going to call once I get the actual card to be for sure.

unfortunately, if it is truly excluded from your plan there is nothing you can do.. sorry!!!

You can hire www.obesitylaw.com to file appeals and fight for your right to have wls,even wwith a written exclusion. That is what I am doing. I won't give up on insurance paying fffor it until every stone is turned! Good luck!
