Hello all happy holidays to all.  Anyone know what happens if a insurance company goes over the 30 days they have to give you a answer on your appeal??

Hello, give them a call and see what is going on. Also call your surgeron office and talk to the person who is working on your paperwork and ask them what is going on. There are three levels of appeals that can go on it depends on what your employer has set up in your policy. Also find out of your employer is self funded. If so many of them, would like to see what the denial is. You can speak with your HR person if you cannot get an answer from either the insuarnce company nor the person in your surgeron office. What insurance do you have. There have been times when at the end of the year the insurance companies do not want to pay and you have to get your employer involed. Why did you have to get your claim appealed?

Be blessed!

Thank-you for you reply.  I got a call from my surgeons office on Monday telling me my insurance had reversed their decision and had approved me..They had denied my initial request for a RNY.
