Insurance commission complaint-BCBSIL

Hi everyone.  Another question!!!  I live in Indiana but have BCBSIL insurance.  They have denied me stating no 5 year history (included 7 pages of dr notes from 2001-2004!) and that I have not done 6 months supervised weight loss attempts (no, I have had 2 YEARS!!!).  Anyway, I want to file a complaint with this insurance commissioner, should I file with the Indiana or Illinois Commission?

hello you are going to have to file it with illinois. i had the same prob and filed a complaint with the illinois insurance commisioner and they said that they couldnt help me. im from north dakota. i guess if you have ppo insurance they cant do nothing for you. so just a little bit of info. bcbsil doesnt seem like they want to approve anything. i have been denied 3 times from them and have always had the onfo they want and everytime i submit it they want this and that and more and more.

Mandy BCBS of IL is the hardest company to deal with I suggest you get hold of Kelly Lindstrom at www.obesitylaw.com and see if she or her hubsand can help

Thanks for that.  I am getting that message quickly on them being the hardest to deal with.  I assume Walter Lindstrom is her husband?  My surgeon has contacted them and he will be getting involved.  I am very frustrated because you can tell they are not even looking at what I am sending, it is just an automatic denial.  Thanks so much for your help.
