Thanks to all...
Thanks to all who helped me with all my questions these last 7 months. My employer, The Connecticut Hospice, Inc. will not pick up the rider under our new insurance (Connecticare) as of 1/1/09. Not in the budget! Bunch of b.s. if you ask me. I'm the only one in the organization who advocated for the rider. Why would they pick it up for one person. Very hurtful and discouraging but that's life. I guess WLS is not in my life path. I need to deal with it and move on. Did 7 months of research on all the surgeries and prayed alot too but it was all for nothing. Sorry just a bit down about it but I will certainly get over it. I'm certainly going to miss going on this site almost every day (7 months). It's been inspirational hearing all the stories. Thanks to everyone who offered so much insight to all my questions.

So sorry about your employer not picking up the rider....but don't give up. Maybe it will just take stepping back for a while & waiting to see what other options are out there for you. If possible, don't let your employer & insurance company decide what is best for your life & your life expectancy....and keep praying...something will work out....take care!
