Anyone with Medicare?

Anyone here no anything about medicare coverage? I was told by my surgeons ins. sec. that medicare will pay for the surgery but not the fills, (Lap Band). But then at a WLS meeting the other day someone said they heard that medicare is now paying for the fills. Does anyone no any different or is already dealing with medicare? thanks

Here is medicare's website so you can read and see if they cover it. Have you thought of getting the DS? It is covered by medicare and doesn't require all the fills and unfills.  Why would they pay for the surgery but not cover the fills? They can be expensive I've heard 300-500 each. Who can afford that? Can you call Medicare and find out directly from them? Best of luck
