X-Post with LW board

Hey, all. I have a question for a co-worker. Who, at Kaiser, would she talk to to find out their requirements? Her doctor has ordered her to lose 70# AND is ordering MRI's, colonscopies, etc. for serious back problems caused by her scoliosis, and eacerbated by her weight. Her doctor told her Kaiser's requirement was the need to lose 100# before they would consider WLS. With all her other problems, I think that is incorrect. But she doesn't know who to talk to.
Any help I can pass on would be great. This woman has also had Bells Palsy episodes. I personally think the stress of the constant pain makes those come on. So, again, any thoughts would be appreciated.
