How long for Approval?

My sweet friend wanted me to post this question for her.  She has done her 6month weigh in requirements, and all other requirements.  She is sending in her records and other paper work today.  Her insurance does cover wls. She has BCBS.  How long should it take to get her approval?

In my experience, BCBS plans vary alot from plan to plan. The quickest I've seen was 48 hours. But I think the average is about 2-3 weeks. I have seen some BCBS plans take up to 4-6 weeks though. Hopefully your friend falls into the quick timeframe. Best of luck! Billie

thanks.  I hope it is within a week.  She really needs to have her surgery this year.
