That is great news, and I am going to save your post, because I am in the middle of an appeal although I decided to move ahead as a self-pay and have a VSG scheduled for Dec. 9th.

Congrats your your appeal approval.  You are one of the lucky ones that has Anthem BCBS of CA  where California has a appeal mandate set forth called the CA Dept of Managed Health Care.   Even if you do not live in CA but have Anthem BC of CA you have that write to request an appeal as which I am sure this is what happened in your case Carmelita.  That is the best thing you did stick to your guns and everyone else should too.  Never settle for something you don't want.  Most cases can be appealed and overturned, unless you have a flat exclusion but I am so happy for you Carmelita.
