Empire BCBS in OH

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has Empire BCBS that has been approved. I live in Ohio. I am sending in for approval hopefully this week however in January when my insurance renews the age limit for bariatric surgery will be change so therefore I will be too young. I was wondering if anyone has this insurane that has been approved rather quickly well within 2 months..any advice would be great! thanks.

I think it will make a difference on which policy you have with them.  Each policy written will have different approval qualifications...even within the same insurance copmany.  So if your policy is through Wal-Mart with Empire, the approval process will be different from a Sears policy with Empire.  Hope that I am making sense!

While I don't have Empire, but I do have a BCBS policy and was approved within a week.  My BMI was 35.1 but I had several co-morbidities. 

Thanks for the response..I sent in for approval on Tuesday so the wait continues...I had called the insurance a couple months ago to get the pre-qualifications I need and I think I have met all of them so hopefully I will hear something positve soon!
