deductible ?

i just got my approval yesterday and heard from the surgeon to put me in to the scheduling dept to schedule, my ? is i called the insurance company this morning to find out what i have of my yearly individual deduct let for this year so i knew what would not be covered, it was like 900ish.....so does most dr offices make you pay that up front or do they bill you after wards?

From everything I have read and been told that is payable upfront. I know I have to pay my deductible upfront when the time comes for me.

I think it varies, but mine was due before surgery.  The hospital billed me after, but the surgeon had to be paid upfront, minus what he expected from the insurance co of course.
