DENIED - AETNA GLOBAL PPO
I started this running around in March, the nutritionist, psychologist, personal, trainer and all that was required, I was put ten on the 10 days diet and the liquid two days diet only to be told by the surgeon's office two days to surgery (October 17), that the insurance has denied.
My surgery was scheduled for October 10 and then pushed to October 17th which is today.
I honestly regret choosing the Mt. Sinai Hospital for my surgery, I wish I could change it. Because the assistants will not give you very clear infos, it takes them time to return calls, its very frustrating and I really don't know what to do now. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INFO on this issue

Sorry you are having a hard time, I do know what you are going through. I started all this in may and i am still waiting for my answer on my appeal.all i had to do was gain 6 lbs. Why did they have you do all that if you were not approved. why did they deny you? Don't let it get you down i think they p**ss us off to see if we will give up. soryy no info on aetna I have TRICARE, just wanted to say good luck and don't give up. take care

I called our insurance broker to see what she can do, she asked me to fax her the denial letter from the insurance, I called the surgeon's office to ask them to fax the denial letter to me, and to my surprise, the assistant told me that there was no letter, that they called the case worker at the clinic to deny it. See, I don't really know what is going on.
