YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING DOES IT REALLY TAKE 60 DAYS FOR A APPEAL. THEY ARE KILLING ME WITH THE WAITING. I HAVE 21 MORE DAYS TILL IT HAS BEEN 60 DAYS. THIS IS MY SECOND APPEAL YOU WOULD THINK IT WOULDN'T TAKE SO LONG. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS GAIN A LITTLE WEIGHT . I DID THAT SO WHAT THE HECK. SORRY HAD TO LET IT OUT.

Your insurance has 30 days to give you an answer to your appeal. You need to contact the CA DMHC (Department of Managed Health Care) they oversee HMOs. Sounds like you are getting the run around from your insurance and need to contact the DMHC asap. You can contact them 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Tell them your situation and what the insurance company has put you through. They will be able to help you. I think if your insurance doesn't give you an answer on the 31st day you have the right to ask for an IMR (independant medical review) with the DMHC. Good luck.

If you don't mind me asking....what insurance do you have and what was the reason for the denial in the first place?

I HAVE TRICARE PRIME. THEY DENIED ME THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE I HAVE OTHER INSURANCE (THEY DONT COVER WLS) THE SECOND TIME i WAS NOT 100LBS OVER WEIGHT HAD TO GAIN 12LBS. SO NOW I WAIT ITS BEEN SINCE MAY I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS.
