DENIED AGAIN BY BCBSIL

HELP!!! I have been denied by bcbs IL once again. They say that I dont have any health probs besides having a BMI over 40. and that its not medically necessity. What should I do next keep appealing or what? HELP PLEASE.

There medical policy doesnt require any futher health problems if your BMI is over 40  here is a link to their medical policy

so do you think that i should appeal it again? see i have a ppo through my job and from what i understand what they require is different from what bcbs il requires. does that make any sense? i dont know what to do.

Hmmmmm the way you are explaining it sounds like this is a self insured policy through you employer and they are calling the criteria.   I would contact your Human Resources department and find out if they set up the criteria and etc when determining benefits.   If so you can appeal it to your employer or take it a step further and contact www.obesitylaw.com to see if they would pursue the case
