Rosie,

I have Aetna Open Access as well.  I can only hope my experience goes as smoothly as yours!  We should all be so blessed!

I go to an informational seminar next week (I am so excited I can hardly sleep at night) to meet with the bariatric staff at a local center to discuss options.  This is more of a group appointment where they discuss options - sort of like a lecture.  I will turn in my application to apply to the program, and if the accept me, I will go through the -month program with the NUT, etc.

Then, I assume, it will progress as you experienced.  I don't anticipate any problems.  But any "pointers" you could give any of us would be appreciated.

Thanks much!

(I won't give up until I get what I want!  I don't care if they deny me - I will appeal and appeal again until they get tired of hearing from me!)

I was denied about three months ago because my bmi was only 37. Now It's 39 and I have developed high blood pressure and i am border line diabetic.  I am going back to the doctor Wednesday to send my appeal in to bcbs I sure hope I get it this time.  Please pray for me.
