Approval

Hello all I have BCBS of IL and they submitted on Friday, September 26, 2008 and I got an approval and surgery date today. I'm scheduled for November 10, 2008.

Congrats! My dr office called me today...I submitted friday too. I have to wait till morning to call and find out :( But how excited keep me posted!

Keep me posted also, I just obtained my paper work for short term leave and FMLA so I'm really excited. I plan on making my appts today and getting everything I need done completed asap.

did you find out if you where approved.

there was a mis comunication :( She wrote down I was diabetic so the insurance company wanted to kno the meds I was taking and the doctor I was seeing. But Im not diabetic! LOL. when s your surgery date?

Congratulations BigRed23....that's great news! My paperwork was submitted to BCBS of CA on Tuesday, 9/30. When I called, they told me it can take up to 5 business days. How did you find out you were approved?

The bariatric center called me at home to let me know they got an approval and when would I like to have the surgery. I was like wow, I did call the insurance company two days before she called me.

Congrats. I too have BCBSil my info was submitted 10/1. Hopefully I will hear something next week. The insurance company told me it could be 30 days... I can't wait 30 days!!!!  Well I guess I can. Thanks for sharing your approval news, it gives me hope.
