Has anyone bought insurance just for WLS??

Hi,
I am currently on Medicaid, but since my husband has gotten promoted at work, I don't know how much longer we will be eligible for it.
Since you should have the same insurance for a year after you've had surgery, has anyone paid for their own?
What are the average rates?
Is it worth it?

i really don't think purchasing insurance before or even after surgery is an option, they usually wont take you.
Can you hop on your husbands insurance?

Adrienne if you are talking about purchasing a individual policy it will not happen the individual policies with insurance companies do not include WLS ever.
