Trying to get BCBS of Tenn to pay for VSG, been denied so far, not sure about the appeal process. any info

I believe most insurance companies still view the VSG as experimental. As far as I know, there aren't any (or very few, if any at all) long-term studies on the VSG as a stand-alone procedure (without a duodenal switch). You may want to ask this on the VSG forum to see if any of them have had success in a similar situation.
