I'm just starting the process of everything, and trying to get my ducks in order. How was BCBS MI PPO? I have them as well. Were they difficult? What did they ask for? You seemed to have gotten approved rather quickly. If you can offer any advice of what I can do to help the insurance process go faster, please share. Thanks!!

I read on another forum that someone had BCBS of MN (thats what I also have) and they were approved in 3 days after it was submitted!  Maybe once they get all your info it will happen fast!
I hope so!
Best of luck !

Most insuranfce have a window of 30 to 60 days to either approve or deny and sometimes take less than that but per the Dept of Insurance in each state allows the insurance companies anywhere from 30 to 60 days to respond

But you can call them everyday and check status of the request

I have BCBS FEP and went through BCBS of FL for my surgery.  My surgeon was contact 2 days after the paperwork was faxed.  BCBS wanted to know a little more info.  I had the approval the following day.  The surgeon's office said that it normally takes 1-2 weeks so we were surprised to hear something so quickly.
