Blue Shield Insurance

So I'm waiting on insurance approval. They (the ins. co.) approved all of my referrals already. :) ( Which the appts have already been completed) so on 9/25/08 the paper work was all faxed over. i know, i know its only been 2 business days and its now the weekend. ha ha I'm just so excited  but terrified all at once. what if they deny me? i haven't prepared myself for that. any suggestion? also if you have blue shield how long did it take for you to get approved?

I have BCBS PPO Elite. I am waiting also. I just saw the surgeon on 9/24/08. all my stuff is done and I am not sure if Dr. has sent in a letter of approval  to BCBS yet. Good luck to both of you!!

Anyone heard back from insurance yet? I'm waiting for insurance approval from  BCBS of CA. 

I still havent received an approval or DENIAL yet....UGH im nervous....but i guess its good i havent got a denial yet.

I dont have BCBS BUT my paperwork was submitted on 9/26 and Im way impatient! Ive been waiting  since aug of 07 for my surgery and if I am denied I have no idea how I will handle it. I have not  let that drip into my mind. I geuss everyone will have to keep eachother updated on their approvals!

I have BCBS of IL and my paperwork was faxed in 9/26/08.  I'm sooo nervous!  Wednesday,  I'm going to start calling and bugging the heck out of them until I get an answer.  Good luck to all! 

omg im sooo upset!!! ok so i called my surgeons office today and asked if there is anything i can do to hurry the approval process with the insurance co. and the lady said my paper work has not been sent. UGH!!! so i asked her what was needed....she wanted my EKG clearance and my doctors approval all of which was completed and faxed over twice in the last 4 weeks! **sigh**

so now the 3rd fax has been received and will be sent 2 the ins. co. gosh could this be any more difficult?!

I can relate, I found out today my surgeons office is still waiting for the psychiatris letter before they can submit forms to insurance. I had that appointment over 2 weeks ago. I did call them and they said it would be faxed over in the AM. So, I am hoping things will get rolling, I thought they already were. sigh,  oh well, everything happens for a reason.

I have BCBS MI PPO I was approved on the fist time but it takes 4-6weeks for approval i never did get a letter. You have to stay on top of them. It will be fine the hardest part is the waiting. I just didnt think about it and it went by a lot faster!!! !GOOD LUCK !!
