IS SINCE I have medicaid and medicare would that pay to get any other weight loss surgery  if the lap-band did'nt work for me? Before looking at having a new surgery (sorry, I don't know the answer to your question), have you talked to your doctor and nutritionist?  You probably need to figure out WHY the lap-band didn't work for you.  Doctor should be able to check for physiological reasons, i.e. band slippage or maybe it's not holding fills, etc?  (sorry, also not versed in problems that could happen with a lap-band).  I would THINK if there is a physiological reason that the band isn't working for you, that Medicaid & Medicare would pay for a revision.  The nutritionist could help you get back to basics eating-wise...see what you are doing right or what you may be doing wrong.

Start with your surgeon.  Then see the nutritionist.  Go from there.

Just my humble opinion.
