WLS still covered next year?

I have BCBS of MN and my coverage does currently include WLS.  I asked HR today about whether our insurance benefits would stay the same next year she said that those issues will not be addressed for 2 more months and there are no promises on premium increases or benefit coverage.

My question is:  how common is it for an employer to take WLS out of coverage?  Does anyone have experience with BCBS of MN as to how common it is for their policies to exclude WLS?

I know I am "borrowing trouble", but that's the way I am.  I have the free intro session tomorrow night and will still need to do the 6 month diet.  That will definitely put me into next year, so it is an issue.

Well, I have BCBS of MN.  My insurance does include WLS.  I have heard of policies not including it in the policy though.  I didn't think ours covered it either and my husband came home and told me one of the ladies in the office where he works said it did and it was reasonable for our out of pocket. 

I wish I could be more help.  I don't know what your situation is but since I have been actively working on getting my WLS I have heard of places that are all inclusive.  You get a loan and pay for it and its in one place.  There is a place in OKC that does it called Weight Wise.  My brother is going to one in Houston called Nu Weigh (I think thats the name)  I haven't read your profile so I don't know where your from but you might check into something like that.
